With appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and others, her autobiography, Cry the Darkness, (1993 Health Communications), became a best seller, printed in seven languages. Dr. Friess  She is an expert in recovery from trauma. She has authored six books, and is a member TTAC (Technical Training and Advisory Consortium) through the Office of Victims of Crime, U.S. Justice Dept., she was nominated for the American President’s Service Award.
